Defra announces reforms to 30 bodies

The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has announced that a range of its 'arm's length' bodies are to be scrapped. Around 30 of these bodies will be shut down, including the Agricultural Wages Board (AWB), the 16 Agricultural Dwelling House Advisory Committees, the Inland Waterways Advisory Council and the Commons Commissioners.
